The Senior Contracts Counsel will play a pivotal role in supporting a dynamic and evolving organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer, this is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative legal team and work on a broad range of complex and sensitive legal and business issues, providing real-time analysis and practical advice. The ideal candidate will manage multiple priorities across diverse areas such as vendor management, publishing, property & casualty, technology, and benefits. We are seeking a creative, curious, and proactive self-starter with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset to take ownership of commercial contracts and drive strategic solutions.

What You'll Do:

Lead the full vendor contracting cycle-from initial draft to execution-including SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, software licensing, and consulting agreements.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and corporate contracts.
Partner with vendor management to design and implement contract strategies, improve knowledge management, and develop standard templates and SLAs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and privacy teams on compliance, risk mitigation, and contract strategy.
Manage the contract lifecycle platform and leverage technology for insights and vendor playbooks.
Supervise outside counsel when specialized expertise is required.

What We're Looking For:

J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active license to practice in New York.
6+ years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
Strong background in SaaS/data technology, healthcare, and commercial contracts.
Knowledge of U.S. data privacy laws (HIPAA, CCPA, etc.).
Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration and trust.
