Remote Civil Litigation Attorney
About the Opportunity
Our regional client, a respected civil litigation defense firm with a long-standing reputation for high-quality advocacy, is seeking an Attorney to join its General Liability practice in Los Angeles, Irvine, San Diego or Walnut Creek. This is a full-time, remote role (hybrid option available) offering meaningful hands-on litigation work, consistent client interaction, and the chance to advance within a supportive, collaborative environment. Candidates must reside in California.
This position is ideal for attorneys who thrive in a fast-paced setting and want to build or continue developing a strong foundation in civil litigation. This role offers immediate engagement on active matters and the opportunity to contribute strategically from day one. You'll work closely with experienced litigators who value teamwork, clear communication, and a proactive approach to case management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a litigation caseload from initial assessment through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and detailed legal memoranda
- Conduct depositions, attend court hearings, and argue motions as appropriate
- Communicate with clients regularly and offer thoughtful, strategic updates
- Collaborate with partners and colleagues on case strategy and litigation planning
- Participate in settlement discussions and trial preparation
- Handle on-site appearances as required for hearings, depositions, or client needs
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the California State Bar
- Strong legal writing, analytical abilities, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and adapt to shifting client priorities
- Courtroom experience preferred; trial experience is a plus
