Real Estate Counsel
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal support and advice to the General Counsel, Senior General Counsel, General Partner, and company employees.
- Draft, review, and revise a wide range of legal documents, including:
- Construction materials supply contracts
- Real estate leases and purchase agreements
- Commercial agreements and other transactional documents
- Ensure company compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks related to:
- Claims and disputes
- Litigation
- Employment and personnel matters
- Advise on regulatory compliance issues and assist in developing internal policies and procedures.
- Support negotiations for construction and real estate transactions, ensuring favorable terms and risk management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide proactive legal guidance on business initiatives and projects.
- Manage outside counsel relationships and oversee external legal work when necessary.
- Conduct legal research and stay current on changes in laws and regulations impacting the company's operations.
- Assist with corporate governance matters, including entity formation, maintenance, and record-keeping.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making to align legal strategies with business objectives.
- Handle additional legal and non-legal responsibilities as assigned based on skills and evolving company needs.
