Real Estate Associate
We are seeking a skilled and motivated mid-level real estate finance attorney with 4-6 years of experience to join a dynamic and collaborative legal team. This role offers immediate client contact and the opportunity to work on complex, high-value transactions in a nationally recognized practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead lender-side mortgage financing transactions from start to finish, including post-closing matters.
- Draft and negotiate loan documents, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity structures.
- Conduct due diligence, including review of title, surveys, leases, zoning reports, and opinion letters.
- Manage junior team members, run weekly status calls, and maintain clear communication with clients and opposing counsel.
- Support asset management, workouts, and secondary market strategies such as repurchase facilities and warehouse loans.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 4-6 years of broad real estate finance experience.
- Strong background in structured commercial real estate transactions.
- Experience with construction loans (especially in NY), mezzanine loans, and preferred equity is a plus.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Team-oriented with the ambition and drive to contribute to a growing national practice.
