P&C Attorney
Property & Casualty Attorney
A multi-entity insurance organization is seeking a Property & Casualty Attorney to provide legal advice and support across its property and casualty operations. This role primarily supports a P&C insurance subsidiary but will also collaborate across affiliated entities as needed. Reporting to senior legal leadership, the attorney will handle a broad range of insurance, regulatory, and corporate legal matters, including policy interpretation, regulatory inquiries, and coordination with external counsel.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on property and casualty insurance matters.
- Respond to legal and regulatory questions escalated to the legal team.
- Draft, review, and interpret insurance policies, endorsements, and related documentation.
- Support filings and communications with state Departments of Insurance.
- Assist with responses to regulatory complaints, inquiries, and examinations.
- Review and draft contracts, amendments, and other legal agreements.
- Advise on policy-related issues such as assignments, beneficiary changes, and coverage questions.
- Analyze the impact of statutory and regulatory changes on policy forms and certificates.
- Partner with outside counsel on litigation, claims, intellectual property, and related matters.
- Handle additional legal projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing.
- At least four years of experience practicing property and casualty insurance law.
- Prior in-house insurance or relevant law firm experience preferred.
