Founding Partner - Transportation & Insurance Defense
Ohio (Columbus, Cleveland, Steubenville, or Other Ohio Markets)
An AmLaw 100 national law firm is seeking a Founding Partner to lead the launch and growth of its Ohio office. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced attorney who wants to build an office rather than join an existing one, while leveraging the resources of a national platform with 40+ offices and 1,100+ attorneys nationwide.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead the firm's Ohio presence as a founding office leader
- Manage and mentor attorneys and support staff as the office grows
- Handle sophisticated transportation and insurance defense litigation matters
- Represent national clients, including:
- Amazon
- Uber
- National transportation carriers
- Fortune 500 companies
- Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's national platform on cross-office matters
- Develop relationships with clients and help drive strategic office growth
- Serve as a key leader within the firm's transportation and litigation practices
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience practicing law, preferably within transportation litigation and insurance defense
- Proven leadership and people management experience
- Partner-level attorney experience preferred
- Portable business is not required
- Strong litigation, client management, and strategic leadership skills
- Licensed to practice in Ohio or eligible for admission
