A leading financial institution in Montreal is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented paralegal with 3 to 6 years of experience to join its dynamic legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of legal matters related to financial transactions, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support legal counsel in preparing, reviewing, and managing documentation for financial transactions, including lending, securities, and investment agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory and compliance matters relevant to the financial industry.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate documents, including resolutions, annual returns, and regulatory filings.
  • Liaise with internal departments, external counsel, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely and accurate legal support.
  • Maintain and organize legal files, databases, and contract management systems.
  • Contribute to internal policy development and risk management initiatives.
  • Participate in corporate social responsibility and pro bono initiatives that align with the company's values.

Key Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a financial or corporate legal environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian financial regulations and corporate law.
  • Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills.
  • Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken) is strongly preferred.
  • Paralegal diploma or certificate from a recognized institution.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting.
