Corporate Counsel - Financial Services Company
A well-established National Financial Services company in the Philadelphia area is actively seeking a corporate generalist to join their lean legal team due to tremendous growth over the past few years. Reporting directly into the general counsel, this individual will be involved in a wide variety of responsibilities, including corporate transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, regulatory compliance support, and more.
The team is hoping to bring someone with runway who is comfortable wearing may different hats. This firm is known for its stability, long average tenure, industry leading benefits, and potential for upward mobility.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general transactional support to a range of corporate transactions and strategic investments; deal negotiations, documentation drafting, etc.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements; NDAs, licensing agreements, transactional documentation, and more.
- Work cross-functionally with a variety of internal business units; compliance, finance, corporate, and more.
- Manage external counsel when needed.
- Support special projects and other matters on an ad-hoc basis.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredit Law School.
- 3+ years of experience handling general corporate matters in private practice and/or in-house.
- Strong communication skills - an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to expand skillset and become involved in a wide variety of factors on a day-to-day basis.
