What You'll Do
- Draft and respond to discovery requests, interrogatories, requests for production, and other litigation-related documents.
- Prepare and respond to initial pleadings, motions, and briefs in employment litigation matters.
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex employment law issues.
- Draft, argue, and respond to dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Assist with trial preparation, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel regarding case strategy and developments.
- Collaborate with team members while also handling matters independently with appropriate supervision.
What We're Looking For
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active admission to practice law in Nevada.
- At least one year of litigation experience, preferably in civil litigation, employment litigation, commercial litigation, or a related practice area.
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience drafting motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
- Interest in building a long-term career in labor and employment law.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a client-service-oriented mindset.
