VP / Associate - Legal Counsel, Chinese Asset Management

Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support on fund formation and post-formation maintenance across asset management products.
- Draft, review, and negotiate investment management agreements (IMAs), custodian agreements, fee letters, and supplemental documents.
- Advise on general corporate commercial matters and liaise with external counsel when necessary.
- Monitor legal risks and regulatory developments impacting asset management activities.
- Ensure legal documentation is valid, binding, and aligned with product and risk requirements.
Requirements
- Qualified Hong Kong lawyer with a Master's degree or PCLL as a minimum requirement.
- 5+ years of legal experience in asset management, either in-house or at a reputable law firm.
- Proven experience in Fund Formation, IMAs, and Custodian Agreements.
- Strong command of Mandarin and Chinese (spoken and written).
- Commercial mindset, strong legal risk awareness, and ability to work independently.
