Senior US Private Client Associate

Private Client & Tax Associate

London

We are working with a leading professional services team in London that is continuing to grow its Private Client and Tax practice, with a particular focus on developing its US tax offering for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and internationally mobile clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate to join a growing practice and work closely with senior members of the team as they build out their capabilities in the US/UK private client market.

The Role

The successful candidate will advise a sophisticated client base of UHNW individuals, families, entrepreneurs and internationally mobile clients, often with complex cross-border tax considerations.

The work is expected to include:

  • Advising UHNW individuals and families on UK and international private client tax matters.
  • Working on matters involving US/UK tax considerations, particularly for US-connected individuals living, investing or operating internationally.
  • Advising on tax-efficient structuring, wealth planning and succession matters.
  • Supporting clients with residence, domicile and cross-border tax issues.
  • Working with internationally mobile executives, entrepreneurs and family groups on complex personal tax matters.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across tax, private client and wider professional services teams.
  • Developing relationships with lawyers, wealth managers, family offices and other advisers within the UHNW ecosystem.
  • Playing an active role in the continued growth of the team's US private client and tax offering.

Candidate Profile

The team is interested in speaking with candidates who have:

  • Experience within private client, personal tax, international tax or US individual tax.
  • Exposure to UHNW or internationally mobile individuals.
  • An interest in developing deeper expertise in US/UK cross-border tax matters.
  • Strong technical and client-facing capabilities.
  • Experience gained within a leading accountancy firm, professional services firm, law firm or specialist private client practice.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or progress towards qualification, such as ATT, CTA, ACA, EA or equivalent, depending on background.

Direct US tax experience would be particularly attractive, although candidates with strong UK private client/international tax experience and a genuine interest in developing within the US market may also be considered.
