(Senior) Legal Manager - Hedge Fund in Hong Kong
CLIENT BACKGROUND
My client is a Hong Kong-based multi-strategy hedge fund that focuses on generating risk-adjusted returns through opportunistic trading and investment across a wide range of securities and financial instruments. They are seeking a (Senior) Legal Manager to join its team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a mid-level legal professional with hedge fund experience to take on a broad and impactful role in a high-performing environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Provide legal support across fund operations, including fund formation, structuring, and regulatory compliance
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including offering documents, investment agreements, and service provider contracts
- Advise on SFC regulatory matters and ensure ongoing compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and internal stakeholders
- Support business initiatives and cross-border transactions
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 5-10 years of working experience in legal roles, preferably with exposure to hedge funds or asset management
- Qualified to practice as a solicitor in Hong Kong or Mainland China.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written)
- Strong understanding of SFC regulations and hedge fund structures
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
