Role & Responsibilities
The Senior Labor & Employment Counsel will take the lead on employment litigation matters, including claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, and related employment disputes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a full caseload of employment litigation matters from intake through resolution
- Serving as primary liaison for clients, insurers, and insureds
- Conducting early case assessments and providing liability and exposure evaluations
- Handling all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and settlement strategy
- Delivering high-quality written work, including reports, analyses, and litigation updates
- Operating independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with internal teams
- Strengthening client and carrier relationships through responsiveness and strategic insight
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice in the state of residence
- 8+ years of employment litigation experience
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Excellent case management and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple matters simultaneously
- A track record of sound judgment, professionalism, and client-service excellence
