A global engineering and technology organization is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Manager to support large-scale infrastructure, energy, utility, data center, and electrification projects. This role will serve as a key advisor to business and project teams, helping manage contractual risk, support complex project negotiations, and drive successful project delivery across major capital programs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused contracts professional with deep experience supporting EPC, infrastructure, utilities, or energy projects in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify contractual and commercial risks across major infrastructure and engineering projects and develop practical mitigation strategies.
  • Advise project teams throughout the full project lifecycle, including bid preparation, tender reviews, contract negotiations, project execution, and dispute resolution.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including:
    • EPC and EPCM agreements
    • Framework agreements
    • Consortium and joint venture agreements
    • Procurement and supplier contracts
    • Settlement agreements
    • Financial and project support instruments
  • Support contract strategy and risk management efforts during competitive tender processes.
  • Partner with project management, procurement, engineering, finance, and commercial teams to ensure alignment on contractual obligations and project objectives.
  • Promote dispute avoidance and assist project teams with claims management and resolution strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and ethical business standards.
  • Advise on competition law, anti-bribery and corruption requirements, and broader compliance matters.
  • Participate in internal risk reviews and executive reporting processes, clearly communicating legal and commercial risks.
  • Collaborate with legal and commercial teams across multiple regions and jurisdictions.

Qualifications

  • Law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
  • 10+ years of experience within a law firm, corporate legal department, contract management function, or major projects environment.
  • Significant experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, utilities, energy, engineering, or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of utility-scale EPC contracts and complex project agreements.
  • Experience supporting projects involving power transmission, grid infrastructure, substations, renewable energy, data centers, transportation, industrial facilities, or related sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial judgment and risk assessment capabilities.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex contractual arrangements with customers, partners, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Fluent English required; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require.
