About the Role

A national Property and Causlty Insurance Company is seeking a dynamic leader to drive their compliance operations and make a meaningful impact across the organization. In this role, you will oversee critical compliance functions, lead a high-performing team, and ensure adherence to evolving regulatory requirements in a fast-paced, complex environment.

You'll play a key role in shaping strategy, improving processes, and partnering with cross-functional teams-including legal, underwriting, and operations-to proactively manage risk and support business growth. From leading audits and overseeing reporting to navigating state regulations and negotiating with regulatory bodies, this position offers a unique opportunity to influence compliance at every level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the overall direction of compliance functions, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and promoting streamlined, effective operational practices
  • Lead, coach, and support compliance team members, including recruiting, performance management, and task prioritization, while building strong partnerships across business, legal, and underwriting groups
  • Manage reporting frameworks, training initiatives, and internal knowledge resources, ensuring materials and systems remain accurate, accessible, and up to date
  • Oversee regulatory review activities by coordinating audit responses, delegating responsibilities, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to address compliance requirements
  • Track and assess regulatory developments across jurisdictions, translating requirements into actionable guidance and maintaining structured reference tools and documentation
  • Ensure all required filings, tax submissions, and supporting documentation are completed accurately and on time, proactively identifying and resolving inconsistencies
  • Represent the organization in discussions with regulatory bodies, including addressing findings or penalties, while partnering internally to support reporting and specialized business needs
  • Direct licensing activities across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring credentials are secured, renewed, and documented in accordance with applicable regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Legal, regulatory, or compliance expierence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensing experience
  • Experience with market conduct exams or state audits
  • E&S experience
