The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an Of Counsel Attorney with 8+ years of experience to join its growing General Liability Practice Group in Texas. This role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated litigation matters, work directly with clients, and take a lead role in case strategy and management while collaborating with a highly respected national team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of litigation from initial case evaluation through resolution.
- Represent clients in product liability, premises liability, general liability, transportation, and catastrophic injury matters.
- Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, draft substantive motions, and attend mediations.
- Develop litigation strategy and provide regular analysis and reporting to clients.
- Work directly with corporate clients, risk managers, insurers, and third-party administrators.
- Assist with trial preparation and participate in court appearances and hearings.
- Independently manage a litigation docket while collaborating with attorneys across a national platform.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
- 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably within general liability, product liability, premises liability, transportation, or catastrophic injury matters.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, advocacy, and case management skills.
- Significant deposition, motion practice, and client management experience.
- Ability to independently manage complex matters from inception through resolution.
