Nationwide - Virtual Office Counsel
A leading national labor & employment firm is seeking Remote Employment Litigation Attorneys across multiple seniority levels to support its expanding virtual and specialty‑counsel teams in CA. These fully remote positions offer outstanding flexibility, sophisticated defense‑side work, and the opportunity to collaborate with attorneys across the country on high‑impact employment matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent employers in employment litigation matters involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage‑and‑hour issues.
- Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and motions, including dispositive motions such as Motions for Summary Judgment.
- Conduct or assist with depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations depending on seniority level.
- Collaborate with partners and attorneys across multiple offices on case strategy, risk assessment, and litigation planning.
- For senior/counsel roles: independently manage a litigation docket, communicate regularly with clients or EPLI carriers, and provide strategic case evaluations.
- For junior/mid‑level roles: support case teams with research, drafting, discovery, and litigation preparation while developing toward greater independence.
Key Qualifications
- Employment litigation experience; strong writing and research ability; comfort working independently in a remote environment.
Junior/Mid‑Level (3-6 years):
- Senior/Counsel Level (7+ years): Significant employment litigation experience; proven ability to manage matters from intake through resolution; excellent motion‑practice skills; EPLI experience preferred for Special Counsel.
- All Levels:
- J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school
- Active CA bar membership
- Ability to thrive in a fully remote, nationally coordinated practice.
