Litigation Attorney
A nationally recognized and rapidly expanding law firm is seeking a talented Litigation Attorney with 2-8 years of general litigation experience to join our growing Florida Labor & Employment team. This role is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney who excels in litigation and is eager to build or deepen experience in the high‑demand field of labor and employment law-no prior labor and employment background is required. We will provide the training, mentorship, and support you need to thrive.
Litigation Attorney Responsibilities
- Manage and participate in all phases of Labor & Employment litigation, from intake and strategy through resolution
- Draft motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and briefs in employment‑related disputes
- Conduct legal research and analysis on issues involving discrimination, wage and hour, retaliation, wrongful termination, workplace policies, and related matters
- Handle depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings
- Prepare responses to administrative agency charges (EEOC, FCHR, DOL, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues within the Labor & Employment practice group
Litigation Attorney Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing
- 2-8 years of general litigation experience
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple litigation matters independently and efficiently
- Interest in developing a practice focused on Labor & Employment-no prior experience required
