The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Family Law Attorney to join its team in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area. This is a hands-on role focused on managing family law matters, advising clients through complex life transitions, and advocating for clients in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings.

The position offers a primarily remote work environment, with attorneys generally working from home when not attending court appearances, mediations, client meetings, or other case-related obligations. Attorneys also have access to both Dallas and Fort Worth office locations for collaboration, mentorship, and team support as needed. This role provides significant flexibility, partnership-track potential, meaningful autonomy, and direct access to firm leadership within a highly supportive and growth-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage family law matters from inception through resolution.
  • Evaluate case strategy and advise clients regarding litigation risk and potential outcomes.
  • Lead mediations and settlement negotiations.
  • Conduct contested hearings, depositions, and trials when necessary.
  • Prepare witnesses and clients for hearings, mediations, and trial.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal filings.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to efficiently manage cases.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional client service throughout representation.
  • Advise clients through complex family law matters involving divorce, custody, support, property division, and related issues.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) required.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas or actively pursuing reciprocity.
  • Family law experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in family law for junior attorneys.
  • Experience handling negotiations, mediations, and contested matters.
  • Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent client communication and relationship management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and commitment to client advocacy.
