Deputy General Counsel
Our industry-leading client in the consumer goods sector is seeking a seasoned Associate General Counsel to lead legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions. This is a high-impact role that will work closely with the General Counsel and executive leadership to drive growth through complex deal-making.
About the Role
As Associate General Counsel - M&A, you will:
- Serve as lead legal advisor on all M&A activity, including due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, and integration.
- Partner with corporate development, finance, and business teams to assess legal risks and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Manage outside counsel and internal legal resources to support transactional execution.
- Provide legal guidance on joint ventures, divestitures, and other strategic partnerships.
What We're Looking For
- J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 10+ years of legal experience with a strong focus on M&A; in-house experience preferred.
- Background in consumer goods, manufacturing, or a similarly fast-paced, product-driven environment.
- Strong business judgment and ability to work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders.
