A leading law firm is seeking a Corporate M&A Associate with approximately 3+ years of experience to join its growing corporate practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated transactions alongside experienced partners in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The firm advises public and private companies, private equity sponsors, and strategic investors on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions across multiple industries.
Corporate M&A Associate Attorney Responsibilities:
- Represent public and private companies, private equity sponsors, and strategic investors in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, merger agreements, disclosure schedules, and ancillary transaction documents
- Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with specialists across tax, finance, employment, and regulatory teams
- Support transactions from initial structuring through signing and closing while maintaining direct interaction with clients and deal teams
Corporate M&A Associate Attorney Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 3+ years of experience practicing corporate law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions
- Experience handling complex M&A transactions within a law firm environment
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
