- Handle legal documentation processing, including drafting and negotiation.
- Manage legal processes and ensure compliance with regulations and rules in the country.
- Provide legal support for acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate transactions.
- Utilize legal expertise to advise on various legal matters.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external firms to streamline legal processes.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, advising on legal risks and mitigation strategies.
- Provide legal counsel on major business transactions, including reviewing and drafting relevant legal documents.
- Manage and oversee complex legal services for the financing, development, acquisition, construction, and operation of energy projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct due diligence, contract negotiation, and risk assessment for energy project M&A transactions.
- Participate in the drafting and development of company policies, procedures, and programs.Offer strategic legal advice to senior management on business decisions impacting energy initiatives.
- Research and monitor legal issues to provide informed recommendations.
- Maintain updated knowledge of Japanese law and industry regulations.
- Assist in developing legal precedents and templates for consistent and streamlined workflow.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address legal risks and concerns that come up.
- Contribute to the overall legal strategy and decision-making process.
Requirements:
- Qualified to practice law in Japan (bengoshi) or another jurisdiction with relevant experience.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in both Japanese and English is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of laws, regulations, and market trends in Japan.
