A well-regarded litigation firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its growing Houston office. This opportunity offers a broad mix of complex commercial disputes, significant responsibility from day one, and a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced litigators handling matters in both state and federal courts, while benefiting from a collaborative and supportive team environment.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing commercial litigation matters through all phases of the litigation process
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive court filings
- Conducting legal research and developing case strategy
- Handling written discovery, depositions and e-discovery matters
- Appearing at hearings, mediations, court conferences and other litigation proceedings
- Working directly with clients, experts and colleagues to achieve successful outcomes
- Managing multiple matters while delivering exceptional client service
Candidate Profile
To be considered, candidates should have:
- 4+ years' commercial litigation experience
- Experience handling matters in both state and federal courts
- Strong motion practice experience, including dispositive motions
- Experience with written discovery, depositions and e-discovery
- Excellent legal writing, research and advocacy skills
- Admission to the Texas Bar
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
