Associate General Counsel - Consumer Products Company
A privately held company in the consumer products/health space is looking to add an Associate General Counsel to support a broad range of legal matters across the business.
This role sits on a lean legal team and works directly with senior leadership, offering a high level of visibility and day-to-day involvement in business operations. The position is best suited for someone who prefers a hands-on, fast-moving environment and is comfortable taking ownership of their work.
Responsibilities
This role is heavily focused on commercial contracts - drafting, negotiating, and turning agreements efficiently in support of the business. You'll be working closely with internal teams across functions and expected to provide clear, practical guidance in real time.
In addition to contracts, you'll have exposure to a range of other areas, including:
- Supporting marketing and product teams on brand, advertising, and IP-related matters
- Advising on general business and regulatory questions as they arise
- Assisting with litigation and working with outside counsel when needed
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience as a practicing attorney
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation experience
- Background in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage a steady flow of work
- Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders and operating with limited oversight
- Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, or regulated industries is helpful but not required

- This is a fully on-site role in the greater Charlotte area (relocation support available)
