Associate General Counsel, Brand Counsel
An innovative and booming Publicly- Traded Biopharma Company is seeking an experienced Brand & Market Access Counsel to join their legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will lead the Companies launch and commercial activities relating to its rare diseaese pipeline and acting as an integral member that drives the growth of the company forward.
The Associate General Counsel will serve as a strategic partner providing expert guidance on advertising, promotion, product labeling, brand strategy, and market access strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel on FDA regulations and industry standards related to advertising and promotion of prescription drugs, including rare disease therapies.
- Review and approve promotional materials, press releases, and external communications for legal and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support product launches, brand strategy, and lifecycle management.
- Advise on legal aspects of market access initiatives, including payer communications, value dossiers, pricing strategies, and reimbursement support programs.
- Support development and review of materials for field teams, including Market Access, Account Management, and Patient Services.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing interactions with payers, healthcare providers, and patients.
- Lead training and policy development on promotional and market access compliance.
- Monitor evolving legal and regulatory landscape and assess impact on commercial and access activities
- Represent Legal on promotional review committees and cross-functional brand and access teams.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with significant in-house or law firm experience advising on pharmaceutical advertising, promotion, and market access.
- Deep understanding of FDA regulations, OPDP guidance, and legal frameworks governing market access and pricing.
- Experience supporting commercial-stage biopharma products, ideally in rare disease.
- Strong business acumen and ability to provide practical, risk-based legal advice.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
