About the Company:
We are partnered with a Fortune 500 Wholesale retail company in the United States. This is a hybrid role (Tuesday-Thursday) that offers flexibility and the opportunity to be a key member in their dynamic legal team driving their expansion, with an anticipated growth of 10 stores per year.
Key Responsibilities: Assisting in managing all real estate related matters such as -
- Negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial real estate documents, including leases, purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, REAs, lease amendments, and more
- Analyze title and surveys, and identifying potential risks/liabilities. Updating documents and forms, zoning, permitting, incentives and any similar matters
- Advise in-house clients on various legal aspects, including lease clauses, operational problems, violations, signage, construction matters, access agreements, disputes between landlords and tenants, and issues related to repairs and maintenance.
Key Requirements:
- JD from top University
- 7+ years at top law firm or in-house environment
- Previous experience in Reciprocal easement agreements, environmental matters, condominiums, development agreements, sale leasebacks, and more
- Extensive background as deal counsel, with a strong focus on leasing and development, and substantial experience representing retail organizations.
