An Amlaw 100 firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its Madison, NJ office. This opportunity offers hands-on involvement in complex defense matters within a collaborative, fast-moving practice.
This role is well-suited for a litigator who is comfortable taking ownership of cases and engaging directly with clients. The position focuses on defense-side litigation, including matters involving personal injury, general liability, transportation, and high-exposure claims.
Key Qualifications
- 7+ years of litigation experience, preferably within insurance defense or related areas
- Active New Jersey bar admission
- Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently from intake through resolution
- Experience handling depositions, motion practice, court appearances, and settlement negotiations
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact with clients and provide strategic guidance
- Comfort working in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
- First Chair Trial experience is a plus
