A leading global litigation and insurance defense firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Senior Counsel with 5+ years of strong litigation experience to join its Trial & Defense team in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Irvine. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high‑exposure litigation matters within a highly respected international platform. The firm offers a collaborative environment, hybrid work flexibility, and extensive global resources to support attorney development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in general liability, product liability, premises liability, and catastrophic injury matters.
  • Collaborate with the firm's Aviation practice group on specialized litigation.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 10-20 matters with increasing autonomy.
  • Draft and respond to discovery, conduct legal research, and prepare pleadings and motions.
  • Take and defend depositions, appear in court, and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
  • Report directly to clients and support trial preparation and trial strategy.

Key Qualifications

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with solid academic credentials.
  • Admission to the California Bar.
  • 5+ years of litigation experience, ideally in general liability, product liability, or insurance defense.
  • Strong deposition, motion practice, and courtroom skills.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage complex cases efficiently while maintaining a client‑service mindset.
