Remote Labor and Employment Attorney Responsibilities:

  • Defend employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, wrongful termination, and leave-related claims
  • Manage Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) matters from inception through resolution, including direct interaction with carriers and insured clients
  • Handle administrative charges and proceedings before the EEOC, DOL, and other federal, state, and local agencies
  • Draft and argue motions, prepare pleadings, coordinate discovery, and develop litigation strategy
  • Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and support mediation, arbitration, and trial efforts
  • Partner directly with clients to provide practical, business-oriented employment advice and risk mitigation strategies
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employers navigating complex workplace issues

Remote Labor and Employment Attorney Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 6+ years of management-side labor and employment experience
  • Strong background handling employment litigation in state and federal courts
  • Experience managing EPLI matters and working with insurance carriers
  • Familiarity with EEOC charges, agency investigations, and administrative proceedings
  • Excellent legal writing, advocacy, and client counseling skills
  • Ability to independently manage cases while collaborating effectively within a team environment
  • Employment counseling experience is highly preferred
