Paralegal
Larson Maddox is partnering with a leading hedge fund seeking a Junior Paralegal to join its London‑based in‑house legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their legal career who is looking for hands‑on exposure in a high‑performing financial services environment, with the chance to take real ownership of projects and develop practical in‑house skills.
You'll work closely with the firm's lawyers and operational teams, supporting a broad range of day‑to‑day legal and operational matters. The role offers strong learning exposure and responsibility from day one, including involvement in improving how legal and procurement processes operate across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the drafting, review, and management of vendor and service provider contracts (e.g. NDAs, engagement letters, SaaS agreements)
- Assisting in the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the firm's procurement process, including contract tracking and approval workflows
- Acting as a point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders on contract‑related queries
- Helping to maintain and organise contract databases, templates, and records
- Assisting with fund‑related and investor documentation under the supervision of the legal team
- Coordinating with external counsel and internal teams across legal, finance, and operations
- Supporting ad‑hoc legal and operational projects as the team evolves
This role would suit:
- A Paralegal or Legal Assistant
- A law graduate (LLB, GDL, LPC, or SQE path) with relevant internships or commercial experience
- Someone in a legal, compliance, or operations role seeking an in‑house legal career track
You'll ideally demonstrate:
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A proactive, ownership‑driven mindset
- Genuine interest in asset management, hedge funds, or financial services
- Comfort engaging with stakeholders at different levels of seniority
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑moving environment
