Job Title: Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive MLRO to lead our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) compliance efforts in Australia. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring our operations meet all regulatory obligations and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for AUSTRAC and other regulatory bodies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the AML/CTF compliance framework, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
- Oversee transaction monitoring, suspicious matter reporting, and customer due diligence processes.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and the board on compliance matters.
- Lead internal training programs to promote a strong compliance culture across the organization.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation of new requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior AML/CTF compliance role, ideally as an MLRO or Deputy MLRO.
- Deep understanding of the Australian AML/CTF regulatory landscape and AUSTRAC requirements.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Relevant qualifications in law, finance, compliance, or risk management are highly desirable.
- Certification in AML/CTF compliance (e.g., ACAMS, ICA) is a plus.
