Job Title: Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)
Location: Australia (Remote or Hybrid options available)
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive MLRO to lead our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) compliance efforts in Australia. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring our operations meet all regulatory obligations and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AUSTRAC and other regulatory bodies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the AML/CTF compliance framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
  • Oversee transaction monitoring, suspicious matter reporting, and customer due diligence processes.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and the board on compliance matters.
  • Lead internal training programs to promote a strong compliance culture across the organization.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation of new requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior AML/CTF compliance role, ideally as an MLRO or Deputy MLRO.
  • Deep understanding of the Australian AML/CTF regulatory landscape and AUSTRAC requirements.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications in law, finance, compliance, or risk management are highly desirable.
  • Certification in AML/CTF compliance (e.g., ACAMS, ICA) is a plus.
