We are seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to support a leading academic medical center in complex litigation matters. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-stakes cases involving healthcare providers, hospitals, and medical institutions, while collaborating with a team of skilled professionals in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent and defend healthcare providers and institutions in medical malpractice litigation.
- Manage all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Advise on risk management and compliance issues related to healthcare operations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external experts to develop effective defense strategies.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in medical malpractice litigation or healthcare law.
- Strong litigation skills, including courtroom experience and case management.
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be admitted to the New York Bar.
