About the Opportunity
A leading California-based construction litigation law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Attorney to join its Oakland office. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team of seasoned trial lawyers and construction law experts on high-stakes, complex matters involving public and private infrastructure, construction defect claims, and contract disputes.
This role is ideal for attorneys who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are looking to take on meaningful responsibility, including first- and second-chair litigation opportunities. The firm offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility while maintaining strong team engagement and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and litigate complex construction defect and infrastructure-related cases from inception through resolution.
- Draft and argue motions, conduct depositions, and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Collaborate with clients, experts, and internal teams to develop case strategies and manage discovery.
- Provide legal analysis and risk assessments to clients in the construction and real estate sectors.
- Participate in business development and client relationship initiatives.
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license required.
- Minimum 5-10 years of litigation experience, with a strong focus on construction defect or infrastructure-related disputes.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex litigation matters independently or as part of a trial team.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong organizational and case management abilities.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a commitment to client service.
- Experience with public entity clients or large-scale construction projects is a plus.

- Competitive base salary: $200,000 - $260,000, commensurate with experience.
