About the Opportunity
Our client, a nationally recognized management-side labor & employment law firm, is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its highly regarded New York office.
While this is a general labor & employment role, the associate will work closely with the firm's respected Wage & Hour Practice Group on sophisticated litigation and counseling matters. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney looking to build expertise in one of the most active and in-demand areas of employment law while continuing to develop as a well-rounded labor & employment attorney.

Key Responsibilities
- Represent employers in complex labor & employment litigation matters
- Handle wage and hour disputes, including class, collective, and representative actions
- Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other substantive legal documents
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
- Support clients on day-to-day employment counseling matters
- Collaborate with attorneys across offices on significant workplace law issues
- Leverage technology and innovative tools to improve efficiency and client outcomes
Additional Experience Preferred
- Experience handling restrictive covenant disputes
- Drafting and negotiating employment agreements
- Experience with executive compensation provisions
- Broad employment litigation and counseling experience beyond wage and hour matters
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York
- 4+ years of labor & employment experience
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage sophisticated matters and work directly with clients
