Intellectual Property Associate Attorney
This nationally recongized law firm is seeking a highly motivated Intellectual Property Associate Attorney to join their growing New York offices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IP litigation and a keen interest in emerging areas such as data privacy, AI governance, and internet law. This individual will work closely with a national team of attorneys on complex litigation and transnational matters involving copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and cutting-edge technology issues.
Intellectual Property Associate Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload involving IP litigation and counselling on data privacy, technology, and AI compliance.
- Represent clients in federal and state courts, including drafting and arguing motions and taking/defending depositions.
- Advise clients on privacy compliance, AI governance, and data governance, including drafting privacy notices, internal policies, and risk assessments.
- Draft and negotiate a variety of IP-related agreements, including licensing, software development, and collaboration agreements.
- Provide strategic guidance on advertising, internet, and media law issues.
Intellectual Property Associate Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice in New York State and at least one federal court in New York.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation.
- Demonstrated experience in federal/state court litigation, including motion practice and depositions.
- Experience or strong interest in privacy, AI, and data governance.
- Familiarity with advertising law, fashion law, or internet law is a plus.
