Head of Legal - High-Growth Technology Company
A rapidly growing technology company is seeking a Head of Legal toserve as its senior legal leader and strategic advisor to executive leadership. This individual will play a key role in supporting a business with a significant presence in the U.S. federal market, providing guidance across government contracting, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and broader corporate matters.
This is an opportunity to join a scaling organization in a highly visible role, partnering closely with business leaders while helping build the legal infrastructure needed to support continued growth. The position is fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead legal advisor on U.S. federal government contracting matters, supporting government-facing transactions and strategic business initiatives
- Negotiate and manage a broad range of commercial agreements, including SaaS, technology, channel, and partnership agreements
- Advise on compliance matters related to government contracting, procurement requirements, privacy, data protection, and regulatory obligations
- Build scalable legal processes, policies, and contract management frameworks to support continued growth
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, risk management, and day-to-day business decision-making
Qualifications
- JD and active bar membership in good standing
- 7+ years of legal experience, including significant experience supporting government contracting within a technology, software, SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud, or other technology-enabled business environment
- Strong knowledge of federal procurement frameworks, including FAR and DFARS
- Experience negotiating strategic commercial agreements and complex government contracts
- Ability to operate independently, partner with executive leadership, and provide practical risk-based guidance in a fast-paced environment
