Are you a 3rd or 4th year associate ready to energize your legal career? Our Washington, D.C. office is seeking a talented attorney to join our dynamic Energy Regulatory and Transactions practice. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of energy law, supporting a fast-paced team engaged in cutting-edge matters.
What You'll Do:
- Represent clients in the renewable energy, electric storage, and utility sectors-including independent power producers, transmission companies, and power marketers.
- Handle regulatory matters before FERC and state public utility commissions, including issues under FPA, NGA, PURPA, and PUHCA.
- Participate in litigation before administrative agencies and federal courts, as well as investigations and settlements.
- Support transactional work such as contract negotiation for power and gas sales, interconnection and transmission agreements, and energy-related financings (e.g., data center power supply deals).
What We're Looking For:
- A 3rd or 4th year associate with significant experience in FERC hearings/settlements and regulatory matters in the electric renewable energy and gas sectors.
- Strong interest in expanding regulatory expertise to support energy transactions.
- Admission to the DC Bar is required.
