Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Labor and Employment Attorney with a strong background in EEOC and administrative charge defense. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping employers navigate complex regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to EEOC, state agency, and Department of Labor charges and investigations.
- Draft persuasive position statements, affidavits, and supporting documentation.
- Advise clients on employment law compliance, workplace investigations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Represent clients in mediations and settlement negotiations.
- Stay current on federal and state employment law developments and contribute to client education efforts.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 6+ years of experience in labor and employment law, with a strong emphasis on EEOC and administrative matters.
- Excellent legal writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong client service orientation and communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior work with a labor and employment boutique or in-house legal department.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations or training sessions.
- Familiarity with multi-state employment law issues.
