Director, Operations Counsel
- Advise hospital and corporate leadership on healthcare operations, regulatory compliance, corporate transactions, medical staff matters, employment-related issues, and patient care concerns.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of complex agreements, including physician contracts, vendor agreements, and other healthcare-related commercial contracts.
- Provide guidance on healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, EMTALA, and other federal and state regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the development and implementation of organizational policies, procedures, and governance initiatives.
- Support internal compliance reviews and investigations in partnership with compliance and operational stakeholders.
- Conduct legal research and provide practical, business-oriented counsel on complex legal and operational issues.
- Help resolve disputes and mitigate risk while supporting organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to develop legally compliant processes and operational best practices.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in good standing.
- 5+ years of healthcare legal experience, preferably including both regulatory and operational counseling.
- Experience drafting and negotiating healthcare-related agreements, including physician and hospital contracts.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, EMTALA, healthcare compliance requirements, and reimbursement-related matters.
- Prior law firm experience preferred.
- Strong communication, drafting, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
