Compliance Officer - Leading Hedge Fund (On-site NYC)
Our client, a prestigious hedge fund headquartered in New York City, is seeking a seasoned Compliance Officer to join its dynamic legal and compliance team. This is a high-impact, on-site role offering the opportunity to contribute to the development and execution of a robust global compliance program within a fast-paced, sophisticated investment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation and oversight of the firm's global compliance program
Prepare and file key regulatory documents, including Form ADV, Form 13H, and other SEC-related filings
Draft, review, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in alignment with evolving regulatory requirements
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across legal, operations, and investment teams to ensure adherence to compliance standards
Monitor regulatory developments and support the firm's response to new or amended rules
Participate in internal audits and regulatory examinations as needed
Candidate Profile
Minimum 5 years of compliance experience within asset management or buyside financial institutions
Strong working knowledge of SEC regulations and investment adviser compliance frameworks
Exceptional writing and analytical skills, with demonstrated experience drafting policies and regulatory filings
Juris Doctor (JD) preferred but not required
Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a high-performance culture
Compensation & Location
Base Salary: $150,000 - $170,000, commensurate with experience
Bonus: Competitive annual performance-based bonus
Location: On-site in New York City
