Our client, a rapidly growing global manufacturing company is looking to bring on a Commercial Counsel to work directly with the General Counsel on all commercial matters. This individual will be a key contributor to the company's legal, marketing, sales, and operations teams. A strong candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in commercial law, in either an in-house or law firm setting.

Job Title: Commercial Counsel

Location: Remote, preferred in Wisconsin

Reports to: General Counsel

Job Description:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including sales, purchasing, procurement, consulting, licensing, and government subcontractor contracts.
  • Work closely and advise several different business units on commercial strategy & growing the company.
  • Provide legal guidance on contract terms, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance, including FAR/DFAR requirements.
  • Support dispute resolution and litigation readiness, including implementing legal holds and advising on conflict management.
  • Oversee and manage trademark and patent matters and contribute to intellectual property strategy and portfolio development.
  • Assist with business partner documentation such as licenses, certifications, and regulatory filings.
  • Enhance legal operations by developing templates, processes, and training programs for commercial legal matters.
  • Collaborate with external counsel as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years practicing law as a commercial counsel/attorney.

Compensation:

  • 150,000 - 200,000
