Client Onboarding Specialist - Wealth Management Platform
CLIENT BACKGROUND
A leading wealth management platform is expanding its onboarding function and is looking for an experienced Client Onboarding Specialist to support professional and institutional clients. This role focuses on delivering a smooth, compliant, and high‑quality onboarding experience across a range of client structures.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders across onboarding, compliance, operations, and technology to ensure client accounts are set up accurately and efficiently.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Manage end‑to‑end client onboarding for professional and institutional clients, including complex entity structures and underlying beneficial owners
- Collect, review, and validate onboarding documentation such as identification documents, proof of address, incorporation materials, ownership charts, mandates, and signing authorities
- Perform KYC / AML checks on entities and individuals, including sanctions and PEP screening, source of wealth/funds assessment, and client risk profiling
- Handle tax documentation requirements, including FATCA, CRS, and relevant US tax forms
- Support periodic KYC reviews and documentation refreshes in line with internal policies
- Ensure onboarding files are accurate, complete, and audit‑ready
- Coordinate account setup and operational requirements with internal teams and external service providers where required
- Respond to client and stakeholder queries in a professional and timely manner
- Contribute to ongoing improvements of onboarding processes and workflows
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in client onboarding, KYC/AML, client operations, or compliance support
- Strong exposure to onboarding professional or institutional clients
- Solid understanding of AML/KYC standards, sanctions screening, and regulatory documentation
- Experience handling complex client structures and beneficial ownership reviews
- Familiarity with onboarding systems, KYC platforms, CRM, or document management tools
- Background in wealth management, private banking, asset management, custody, or related platforms preferred
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
