Chief Executive Officer - Contract Research Organization (CRO)

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company's vision, strategy, and business plans to drive sustainable growth and market differentiation in the CRO industry.
  • Financial Stewardship: Oversee financial strategy, ensuring effective budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, and risk management to support operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction across all clinical research projects.
  • Business Development: Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and service offerings to expand the organization's portfolio and revenue streams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with clients, investors, regulatory bodies, and key industry stakeholders to advance the company's reputation and growth.
  • Corporate Governance: Ensure strong ethical standards, transparency, and compliance with all relevant laws and industry regulations.
  • Talent & Culture: Build, develop, and retain high-performing teams by promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Proven executive leadership experience, ideally within a CRO, life sciences, healthcare, or related industry.
  • Strong background in finance (CFO or senior finance leadership experience highly preferred), with demonstrated success in financial strategy, capital management, and driving profitability.
  • Deep understanding of the CRO landscape, clinical trial processes, and regulatory environment (preferred but not required).
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead through complexity, set clear priorities, and inspire teams toward shared goals.
  • Advanced degree in business, finance, or a related field (MBA or CPA a plus).
