Trade Compliance Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ITAR and EAR export jurisdiction and classification for hardware, software, and technical data
- Provide export classifications to support licenses and agreements
- Conduct Customs classifications (HTS and Schedule B)
- Review and approve technical data transfers to international third parties
- Review and approve information intended for public domain release
- Implement and support trade compliance policies and procedures
- Participate in trade compliance audits and corrective actions
- Develop and deliver trade compliance training
- Identify process improvements and support continuous compliance initiatives
- Provide compliance guidance to internal and external stakeholders
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant trade compliance experience
OR graduate degree with 2+ years of related experience
OR 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree - Strong working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and U.S. Customs regulations
Preferred Experience
- Communications systems or tactical radio environments
- Hardware, software, and technical data classification
- Customs compliance experience
- Familiarity with LO/CLO, Anti‑Tamper, and EAR Category 5 Part 2
- Experience with OCR EASE and Agile PLM/PDM tools
- Exposure to software‑defined radio programs
- Active or eligible U.S. security clearance (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities
