Senior Counsel, Corporate
We are seeking a Senior Counsel to lead the global legal function for a growing aviation and industrials business. This is a highly visible, executive-facing role with a strong focus on commercial contracts and M&A, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and evolve the company's legal function; manage in‑house and outside counsel.
- Develop and enhance legal processes, templates, and workflows to support a growing global organization.
- Partner closely with sales, procurement, and business teams to negotiate and draft complex domestic and international commercial agreements.
- Support contracts involving public or quasi‑governmental entities, including airport authorities and adjacent infrastructure markets.
- Negotiate complex commercial contracts (sales, procurement, NDAs).
- Support M&A function through bolt‑on acquisitions and divestitures in collaboration with the parent company legal team.
- Manage legal diligence processes, data rooms, documentation review, and transaction readiness activities.
- Advise on employment matters, corporate governance, IP, regulatory compliance, and litigation management.
- Partner closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams globally
Qualifications
- JD with active state bar membership
- 6+ years of legal experience (big law + in‑house preferred)
- Strong commercial contracting experience in industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, or aviation‑adjacent industries
- Meaningful M&A exposure (due diligence, documentation, transaction support)
- Experience supporting multinational operations
- Practical, business‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to lead, build processes, and drive results in a fast‑moving environment
