Regulatory Attorney

We're partnering with a leading power generation company to find a Regulatory Attorney who will play a key role in advising on federal and state energy regulatory matters. This is a high-impact position within a dynamic legal and compliance team, offering the opportunity to shape policy and support strategic operations across the U.S.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor on regulatory compliance issues impacting energy operations and strategy.
  • Interpret and apply federal and state regulatory requirements, particularly those from FERC and state commissions.
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory developments, advising internal stakeholders on potential business impacts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align on regulatory strategy and policy initiatives.
  • Contribute to the company's compliance program by developing practical, business-oriented legal solutions.
  • Represent the company's interests in regulatory proceedings and industry forums.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership.
  • 5-7 years of experience in regulatory law, including FERC or state commission matters.
  • Familiarity with PJM regulatory issues and the electric power industry.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
