Legal Counsel - Commodity Trading

My client is a leading and growing Leading Commodity Trading firm and we are recruiting for a Legal Counsel to be based in the Singapore office. You will be given the opportunity to support the business on all legal related matters in the region, and work closely with stakeholders in the market. We are looking for candidates who are looking to scale their career in a leading name in the industry.

Responsibilities for this Legal Counsel - Commodity Trading

  • Reviewing and negotiating relevant trading contracts, investment agreements, sale and purchase agreements, etc.
  • Providing full legal support and rendering legal advice and handling of legal agreements in respect of a broad spectrum of matters
  • Negotiate and resolve disputes in relation to trading
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, as well as regulatory bodies on legal and compliance issues

Requirements for this Legal Counsel - Commodity Trading

  • Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent law qualification
  • At least 3 years of experience in practice firm or inhouse with commodity, coal, steel, oil and gas experience as preference
  • Bilingual (Chinse and English, spoken and written)
  • Able to prioritize and respond well to changing circumstances and tight timelines
