General Litigation Associate Attorney
Location: Charlotte, NC
We are seeking a skilled and motivated General Litigation Attorney to join our growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a broad range of civil litigation matters and will be comfortable working independently while collaborating with attorneys, clients, and support staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Draft legal documents such as complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and discovery responses
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Take and defend depositions
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as appropriate
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license and good standing with the NC Bar
- 3+ years of experience in general civil litigation
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines
Preferred (but not required)
- Trial or courtroom experience
- Experience in commercial litigation, employment, insurance defense, personal injury, etc.
