We are working with a market leading international law firm with a top tier Funds practice, seeking to recruit a mid‑level Funds Associate for its London office. The team is widely recognised for advising on some of the most high‑profile and complex private funds work globally.
The role
The successful candidate will join a highly regarded funds team advising leading sponsors, asset managers, and institutional investors across a broad range of asset classes. The work is predominantly sponsor‑side and offers exposure to sophisticated fund structures and cutting‑edge market developments.
Key responsibilities
- Advising on the formation, structuring, and operation of private investment funds
- Working on private equity, growth, credit, special situations, and other alternative investment funds
- Drafting and negotiating fund documentation including LPAs, side letters, and subscription documents
- Advising on carried interest and co investment arrangements
- Supporting on regulatory, structuring, and investor negotiation issues
- Working closely with tax, regulatory, and transactional teams on complex matters
- Managing matters with increasing responsibility and direct client exposure
Candidate profile
- England and Wales qualified solicitor with 2 to 4 years PQE
- Strong funds experience gained at a leading international or US law firm
- Solid technical grounding in private funds formation and sponsor representation
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment
- Strong drafting skills, commercial judgement, and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to build trusted client relationships
