A leading global asset management firm-renowned for its innovation, integrity, and long-term client partnerships-is seeking a Associate General Counsel - Private Funds to join its dynamic legal and compliance team in New York. This is a rare opportunity to work at the forefront of fund structuring and formation within a high-performing, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the formation, structuring, and launch of private investment funds across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Draft and review fund documentation, including offering memoranda, LPAs, subscription agreements, and side letters.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (legal, compliance, tax, finance) and external counsel to ensure timely and accurate fund launches.
  • Support regulatory filings and compliance processes related to fund formation.
  • Conduct legal research and maintain fund formation templates and knowledge databases.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department, with a focus on private funds or investment management.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. securities laws and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Investment Advisers Act, Investment Company Act).
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
